Sango

Sango is the only daughter of a famous demon-slayer and the last surviving member of her village. After her family and friends were killed by Naraku in a betrayal disguised as a battle with a demon spider, she joined Inuyasha's party to seek revenge and recover the Shikon shards. She wields Hiraikotsu, a massive boomerang carved from the bones of demons her people have slain, and is accompanied by Kirara, a two-tailed cat youkai who can transform into a flying mount. Stoic in combat but warm with friends, Sango carries the weight of her village's massacre and the corruption of her younger brother Kohaku, whom Naraku keeps alive as a puppet. Her relationship with the lecherous monk Miroku is the slow-burn romantic thread of the series.
