Chirin

Begins life as an energetic, fun-loving lamb in a farmer's field, wearing a bell around his neck so that his mother can always find him. One night in autumn, however, the fearsome Wolf from the mountains nearby comes and kills some of the sheep, including Chirin's mother. In grief, Chirin goes to the mountains after the wolf for revenge. Soon, however, he decides that he wants to be a wolf himself, rather than a weakling sheep that can be killed easily.
