Academy Productions (アカデミー製作) was a Japanese animation studio formed when the former Mushi Productions branch studio Animation Staff Room was incorporated by Office Academy and rebranded. The studio is best known for producing the Space Battleship Yamato franchise under producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki beginning in 1974. It was subsequently rebranded as Tokyo Animation in 1980; in 1982 the parent company's animation subsidiaries merged to form West Cape Corporation.
